The monologues in the "Family Order" performance are all taken from the literature. Some of them from original literature and some from translated literature. Each one of the twelve course participants chose his own text from the collection of monologues that Ronit prepared, and took it on an exciting and creative journey.
They refer to the monologue as they would to a deserted island, disconnected from the story or the book from which it is taken.
This enabled a very open and intuitive work process, which entailed making up a biography and details for each character, finding a name, and a decision regarding the emotional and circumstantial state from which it emerges to a monologue.
The audience constitutes an active part for the characters, from their actual presence in the space, the role that is joining them in the scene: dad, son, girl/boyfriend, lover or foreigner.
The evening is called "Family Order" because all of the parts which deal with the family and the complex relationships within the family. And as is required due to our involvement in the drama and Theatre, mainly in places and situations in which the order was violated and was disrupted. The performance was launched in March 2007, with the participants of the amateur Theatre course (group 1).
