"The Children of Ricky's Kindergarten"

The work process of the performance is based on the play "Ricky's Kindergarten" by David Grossman. Through his inspiration we dealt with the period of childhood. We worked on the children's characters from the play, and parallel to this we intuitively develop the adult characters – forty year olds – who the kids grow up to be.

The play itself is divided into two parts: in the first part the audience meets a group of people, graduates of Ricky's kindergarten, who return for a sort of "reunion meeting" at their childhood kindergarten. The supposed innocent meeting quickly transforms to one that is charged and dramatic. The residues of the past come up and affect the group, and the childhood experience that was supposedly forgotten behind raise their heads and take a bite out of the present.

The second part of the evening is devoted to a scene that is taken from the original play, when "the excuse" for this transition is concealed in a mysterious letter that is discovered behind the childhood pictures on the wall. It is revealed that this refers to a letter that the kindergarten teacher wrote to them before she died…in a very distinct manner the graduates look back, as if in a time capsule, go back to their childhood in the kindergarten.
