"Things I Wanted to Say"

The performance "Things I Wanted to Say" is composed of monologues from a variety of performances, Israeli and translated, and it was launched along with another group of ten course members (group 2) in December 2007, and an additional time in January 2008.

Here all of the ten course members also chose their own text that they were attracted to the most from a collection of monologues that Ronit prepared, and took it on a captivating and creative journey.

The reference to the monologue is analogous to referral to an abandoned island, detached from the source from which it is taken.

This enabled a very open and intuitive work process, which entailed making up a biography and details for the characters. Choosing a name, a decision regarding the emotional and circumstantial state from which the monologue emerges, and of course the knowledge regarding who they are talking to.

The texts in the performance are varied and very different from each other, which contributed to the creation of an interesting, exciting and titillating evening, which constituted a sort of voyage between the times, with varying types of characters and situations.

Among the material that was launched "Me and Hedva", by Aharon Meged, "The Thirsty and the Hungry" by Lionsky, "Dangerous Relations" by Christopher Hampton, "The House of Dolls" by Ibsen and "The Eve of Twenty" by Joshua Sobol.
