Menifa | Space for Equality and Fairness | Pisga Rehovot

The “Menifa” Space was established within the Pisgat Center in Rehovot.

The ‘Menifa’ Space at the ‘Pisgat Center’ invites educational teams and teaching professionals to explore and engage with content focused on gender equality.

This innovative space is designed to help educational staff expose social power structures and acquire tools that enable students – both boys and girls – to fulfill their skills and attributes, regardless of social divisions based on class, ethnicity, gender, and more.

In the physical space at Pisgat, educational teams undergo a process in small groups, moving through experiential and interactive stations, followed by an in-depth workshop-style discussion in a plenary session. The activities and stations in the space are all based on the use of experiential and interactive elements that call on participants to take an active part in decoding and understanding the subject – pointing the lens toward the participants themselves.

The Menifa Space promotes critical discourse regarding relevant issues by focusing on equality and fairness, with a specific emphasis on gender equality. This is based on the understanding that this subject affects our entire existence, constitutes a central principle in the organization of the social order, and allows for significant change.
