Returning as a “witness for the defense,” he explains the complex considerations behind his leadership. He is joined by other titans of Israeli history—Menachem Begin, Yigal Yadin, Moshe Sharett, Golda Meir, and David Remez—each of whom played a defining role in the nation’s destiny.
