179 Brigade – Reem | Memorial Station
Established in 1955, the 17th Armored Brigade (Reem Formation) has a proud legacy in the Israel Defense Forces.
The brigade’s new memorial center, located near the famous monument, features an interactive memorial station that allows visitors to access the story of each fallen soldier throughout the brigade’s history.
The station offers a simple, easy-to-use search system and detailed content that presents each soldier’s personal story, alongside information about their role in the IDF and the brigade and the circumstances of their passing. It serves as a respectful space to honor the fallen, providing families, friends, and comrades with a personal way to remember and reflect.
The production process for the memorial station includes:
-
Development of a dedicated search application for the fallen soldiers.
-
Creation of a personal page for each soldier, including their photo, personal details, and life story.
-
Synchronization of content with the Ministry of Defense’s “Yizkor” system.
-
Touchscreen interface for intuitive operation.
-
Design of all application screens to ensure a cohesive and engaging user experience.
